We all want SEGA Carnival
to be a safe and fun place for everyone involved, so it's obviously necessary to instate some rules. Nothing too intrusive, just some basic guidelines to make sure everything stays sane and stable.
1. Respect other users.
This should be self-explanatory, hopefully... Don't flame, harass, bully, target, or otherwise attack another user. Even if you disagree with their views or behavior, there are more civil ways to go about it. If you are having interpersonal problems with someone, please contact the administrators
, or support team
2. No spamming.
Don't go out of your way to make pointless posts that contribute nothing of value to the discussion at hand. Also, as a general rule, try to avoid one-word or image-only replies if possible - this is more of a case-by-case thing, though. (This rule is a little more lax in the Forum Games
3. No inflammatory content.
Please don't go around deliberately making strong political statements that you know are destined to end in drama. There are other places for it, and I think we can all agree that it's best to leave certain things out of our community. Related - absolutely no kind of hate speech, slurs, etc. towards any marginalized groups, no matter the context. Again, this should be simple.
4. No pornography.
Listen, we understand. We really, really
do... But, no. Suggestive content or adult jokes are totally fine every now and then, but try and keep things at some sort of socially acceptable level.
5. No illegal content.
Don't post anything that would be considered unlawful. It doesn't matter if it's some kind of hardcore underground deep web drug trafficking service, or a link to download Sonic Spinball along with eighteen cool viruses - no matter the perceived severity of the offense, the law is the law and we could get in serious trouble for providing an avenue to break it.
6. No mini-modding.
Our jobs are our own, so please leave them to us. If we think you have the potential to keep things under control, we'll certainly let you know. In the event that you see something breaking any of the rules (including this one!), simply report it and move on.
